Overview

AlphaTally is Endla’s open hole slotted liner (OHSL) production casing tally auto-design optimisation tool. AlphaTally is a smart tool which uses a variety of user inputs, including the available inventory and lithological data, to generate optimised casing tallies. AlphaTally runs in conjunction with Endla’s Isolator tool. This The Isolator tool helps users select the most appropriate isolation ranges for their casing design. The results from this tool can be directly input into AlphaTally, along with other information, to generate the most optimal high performing casing talliesy.

Designing an OHSL completion is a complex task. AlphaTally takes this complex task and reduces it to a consistent and repeatable operation for an operating company. By simulating and evaluating numerous designs, AlphaTally serves to improve efficiency, isolation, design consistency and inventory management all the while reducing the time needed for completion design.

This guide is designed to onboard new users to AlphaTally and create teach operators how to use AlphaTallypower users. A general and comprehensive workflow will be described, as a step by stepstep-by-step guide to using AlphaTally and the associated isolator tool.

General Workflow Overview

  1. Log in to alphatally.endla.com.au
  2. Download and populate input sheets with known information prior to designing completion
  3. Input geology information into isolation input sheet
  4. Upload geology information to isolator and use “download solution” button to create isolation ranges
  5. Review any messages returned from the isolator tool while running
  6. Review isolation range output to select the preferred isolation ranges. Check & make any modifications to the preferred range
  7. Input preferred isolation ranges and geology into AlphaTally Input sheet and upload
  8. Review any messages returned from AlphaTally while running
  9. Use “view solution” button to visually inspect generated solutions in order to help select most optimalthe best solution
  10. Download output, review tallies generated by AlphaTally, and submit selected tally
